Our Sunday Schools Sunday Schools are offered in Mackay and Sarina. All children are welcome. It is not necessary that parents worship in our Sunday services, though we invite you to do so.
What we Do at Sunday School Our goal is, foremost, to help the younger people in our church family to understand the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ…. and also to have fun learning about God and his word, the Bible.
A Sunday School lesson will often involve singing, prayer, playing games, and learning by lessons and activities based on the Bible. The children often make craft with a Bible message to take home.
Sometimes during the year the children present a skit or sing or are involved in activities for a Church service. Age Groups for Sunday School Generally our Sunday Schools are for prep and primary school age children. Do contact us if your child is not yet in primary school, and we can discuss your child’s situation. Sunday School Times Sunday Schools usually run each Sunday other than school holiday weekends. The Sarina Sunday School runs from 9.00 am to 9.45 am, and please bring your child to the teacher at the church. You can collect your child from the teacher at the church at the end of Sunday School. The children have a morning tea in between. Your family is very welcome to attend our Sunday worship service which commences at 10.30 am. The Mackay Sunday School runs from 9.30 am to 10.20 am. The children leave the worship service for a morning tea in the church hall at 9.30am before the Sunday Schools start. If you do not attend our Sunday worship services, then please bring your child to the church hall at 9.30 am, for the morning tea. A teacher will be present in the church hall and your child will be supervised thereafter. You can collect your child from the Sunday School building at the end of Sunday School at 10.20 am. Your family is very welcome to attend our Sunday worship service which commences at 8.30am.
