At a brief, but moving, ceremony at The Mackay Entertainment Centre yesterday, 26th January, the Van Tonder family took the oath and became Australian citizens. The ceremony was presided over by the Mackay City Mayor, Julie Boyd, and wittness by a gathering of about 500 people including a large contingent from the church.
